SAINT CLARE'S FOUNDATION NAMES PHARMACEUTICAL
EXECUTIVES TO BOARD
Novartis and Pfizer Executives Join Fundraising Arm
of Saint Clare’s
Health System
Saint Clare’s Foundation, the fundraising arm of Saint Clare’s
Health System, has added two regional pharmaceutical executives
to its Board of Trustees. Brandi Robinson, Executive Director of
Public
Affairs of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and James Harris,
Senior Director of International Markets for Pfizer Inc, were officially
elected to the board at its January 27 meeting.

We are pleased to welcome both Brandi Robinson and James Harris to
the Foundation board. Their expertise in business and corporate philanthropy
will be a valuable asset to our mission,” said Joseph Vitale,
CEO of Saint Clare’s Foundation. “Their diverse backgrounds
will help us in our outreach to the community and to help us ensure
that Saint Clare’s continues to provide the highest levels
of medical care to the region.”
At Novartis, Ms. Robinson has responsibility for the strategic development
and management of Novartis’ philanthropic contributions, signature
programs, and community development. She also handles all corporate
contributions, community affairs, and employee events/volunteer programs
within Novartis.
Prior to her tenure at Novartis, Ms. Robinson served as a vice president
in the healthcare practice group at Manning, Selvage & Lee, the
Healthcare Group of Ketchum Los Angeles. She also served at the Central
Los Angeles Unit of the American Cancer Society, and at California-based
Lagrant Communications. She is also a former part time journalism
instructor in public relations at her alma mater, California State
University, Long Beach, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree
in marketing/public relations.
Ms. Robinson is currently a member of the board of trustees for
the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health, Morris Tomorrow, County
College of Morris Foundation, Project Acorn and the United Way’s
Women’s Leadership Initiative, and is an alumnus of the 2003
Class of Leadership Morris. She also serves on numerous committees
throughout Morris County. Brandi, her husband Jason, and their two
children reside in West Orange, N.J.
Mr. Harris replaces George Palmer, also of Pfizer, on the Foundation
board. At Pfizer, Mr. Harris manages the computer system services
for the company’s Consumer Healthcare businesses outside
the U.S. In this role he is responsible for the finance, order
management, and supply chain management systems supporting $1.6
billion in sales. Mr. Harris additionally manages a training team
for global computer applications, a project management office,
and divisional information security protection.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Mr. Harris was the Telecommunications Director
for Warner-Lambert Company, where he and his team expanded the company’s
technology capabilities from 20 to over 150 locations worldwide.
His earlier career experience included various engineering and management
positions in track, bridge and tunnel design, operations analysis,
computer systems development and crisis management at LS Transit
Systems, New Jersey Transit, Foster Wheeler, and the Consolidated
Rail Corporation.
Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and a Masters
of Science degree in computer science from Stevens Institute, as
well as an MBA from Centenary College. He holds a professional engineer’s
license in New Jersey. He is a board member for the DeBaun Center
for Performing Arts in Hoboken. Jim and his wife, Kathleen, live
in Denville, N.J.
