TIEDEMANN HONORED FOR “LEADERSHIP”
DENVILLE, NJ — May
16, 2007 — Kate Tiedemann, founder of Katena Products, Inc. of Denville, N.J., the nation’s largest, privately-owned ophthalmic surgical instrument company, was recently honored at Saint Clare’s Foundation’s fundraising gala, An Evening at the Palace, with the 2007 Leadership Award. The event, held on May 4 at the Palace at Somerset Park, raised more than $250,000 for Saint Clare’s and its Miracles capital campaign. Tiedemann, who serves as vice chairman of the Foundation, was recognized for her business leadership and community philanthropy. Tiedemann’s $5 million gift to Saint Clare’s in 2005 named the Katena Center for Mother and Child, the new maternity center at Saint Clare’s Hospital/Denville.
